Roofing Before & After in Woodland Hills, CA
We could tell you we do clean work. Every contractor says that. What actually proves it is seeing the tear-off pile next to the fresh ridge line, the flashing that fits tight against a Santa Ana wind, and the invoice that matches the quote. Before-and-after work is the only honest marketing a roofer has. Here are the kinds of transformations we handle across Woodland Hills, from Valley Circle to the hills above Ventura Boulevard.
Styles & brands we work with

Recent Transformations
Composite Shingle Replacement: Wind-Battered Ridge on a 1960s Ranch
Before
AfterThis ranch home near Pierce College had the original lightweight shingle still holding on, but the ridge caps were lifting every time the afternoon winds kicked through. The patio deck showed granule loss that had been “fixed” twice with tubes of sealant by two different handymen. We did a full tear-off, replaced two sheets of water-damaged plywood at the eaves, and installed a GAF Timberline HDZ system in Oyster Gray with new ridge venting. The homeowner now walks outside during wind events just to watch the shingles stay put.
Leak Repair and Flashing Replacement Around a Masonry Chimney
Before
AfterA persistent ceiling stain in a primary bedroom traced back to the chimney flashing, the metal strips that seal the joint where the chimney meets the roof deck. In this Woodland Hills neighborhood, decades of baking sun had dried out the old mastic and pulled the counter-flashing away from the masonry. We cut back the stucco, set new step flashing and counter-flashing into a clean reglet, and sealed the whole thing with urethane, not silicone from a tube. The ceiling was repainted once, and it’s stayed dry through two full rainy seasons.
Flat Roof Recover: Foam and Gravel to Reflective Single-Ply
Before
AfterMid-century homes in Woodland Hills often have low-slope or flat sections over additions and carports, and this one had a foam roof that was starting to look like a topographical map of the Santa Monicas. The old surface had ponding water issues and hairline cracks that let moisture wick into the insulation. The recover approach took the roof down to clean decking, replaced the saturated insulation, and installed a white single-ply membrane that reflects heat instead of absorbing it. The homeowner said the garage stayed noticeably cooler the following August. We did not add a patio on top. That’s a different permit.
Partial Re-Roof After Tree Impact: Matching Existing Aesthetics

A mature oak limb came down during a January storm and opened up a 40-square-foot section of this roof, right over a family room. The immediate need was dry-in, and we handled that same day with a tarp and temporary strapping, then returned with an exact written price for the structural repair. Since the framing was intact, we replaced the decking and the damaged shingle, then blended the new Owens Corning Duration shingles into the existing field. If you look at the roof from the street now, you can’t find the repair. That’s the point.
Full Replacement After Years of Moss and Granule Loss

This home sat under a heavy tree canopy with a north-facing slope that held moisture, and the shingles had lost so much granule that the fiberglass mat was showing through in streaks. Moss had taken hold at the eaves, and the homeowner had been told by two other companies that a “chemical treatment” would buy five more years. It would not have. We tore off the old system, installed new underlayment over the entire deck, and put on a CertainTeed Landmark shingle in Moire Black, with new drip edge all the way around. The written price included every finding we made, and the final invoice matched it, line for line.
Skylight Flashing and Surround Repair

Water was showing up on the drywall below a curb-mounted skylight, and the homeowner had been up on the roof three times with a caulk gun trying to guess at the entry point. By the time we got there, the caulk was doing more to trap water than repel it. The fix meant removing the old flashing, replacing the rotted underlayment, and installing a proper flashing kit around the skylight curb with a self-adhered membrane at the corners. It was a half-day job, which surprised the homeowner, because two previous companies had quoted a full skylight replacement. The leak was never in the skylight. It was in the details around it.
Want Results Like These?
Every project above started the same way: a homeowner picked up the phone, asked what a repair or replacement would cost, and got a written price before any work started. That’s our standard, not an exception. Call (650) 456-5615 to schedule a free estimate. You’ll know what you’re paying before we touch the roof, and we’ll show you the work from start to finish.
